Its crazy how from one day to the next your life and course can change and when you're a first time conscious entrepreneur building a brand from the ground up, life does not stop and the challenges that come with it don't either. The support I receive from you, my community, sustains me and makes it all worth it. Thank you.

My story along with Sanara's story, is a story of struggle, resilience and strength and as much as that pains me to go through I'm forever grateful for the lessons learned and the woman I have become along the way. Sanara has always been my place of refuge.

4 years ago I began intently creating Sanara, a body care line that creates daily, time-slowing rituals for mind + body connection powered by indigenous Latin American botanicals.

Sanara comes from the Spanish word, 'sanará', which means, 'you will heal' acting as the beacon to the products I create and ingredients I use. I had no idea in creating Sanara and speaking those words over my life for the past 4 years; how that would save my life and how it continues to do so.

In March 2021 I was diagnosed with Stage 0, Ductal Carcinoma In-Situ, at the age of 39 with no family history. I caught it so early after feeling a lump in my breast that I felt I had a super power. I went through a mastectomy and I thought the bump in the road was over and behind me.

So I thought.

December 8th after feeling another small lump in breast at the biopsy site from 2021. I was hit with another bump in the road. What I have come learn is that I am one of the "lucky" few (2-5%) that despite an aggressive approach like a mastectomy the breast cancer has come back and it's now at Stage 1 called Ductal Invasive Carcinoma and aggressive.

But I'm even more aggressive. 💪🏼

So here I am on this journey once more with a bit more treatment to finally nip this in the bud.

Just as she did before, Sanara will keep moving forward, she's a force that can not be stopped. 2023 is going to be a wild ride for me and Sanara, and I welcome you along our journeys of love, hope, resilience and strength.
